Why isn’t Aeronautical Engineering (Level 3) Fees-Free in 2027?
NMIT provides learners with access to specialised aeronautical engineering training that is not available through any other Polytechnic in New Zealand.
The programme requires specialist facilities, equipment and resources, making it significantly more expensive to deliver than many of our other programmes. It also continues to attract strong demand from learners across the country.
While we are pleased to offer fees-free study across our other programmes at this level in 2027, maintaining fees for Aeronautical Engineering enables us to continue delivering this specialised training to a high standard and ensure its long-term sustainability.
