What does "Verified" mean in MyNMIT?
Learn what the "Verified" status in MyNMIT means and whether you need to provide proof of identity or citizenship.
As part of your enrolment at NMIT, we are required to verify your identity and citizenship.
To complete this process, you may be asked to provide an original or certified copy of an identity document, such as:
- A passport
- A birth certificate
If you are already studying at NMIT or have studied with us previously, we may have already completed this verification.
If you apply for another programme or a short course, MyNMIT may ask you to provide your identity documents again. In most cases, you do not need to resubmit them if you have already been verified.
To check your verification status, look for the Verified badge at the top of your MyNMIT dashboard.
If you can see the Verified badge, your identity and citizenship have already been verified, and you do not need to provide any further documentation. To find what documentation you may need to provide click here.
